What Have We Created?

So here's a question for everyone. Are we going to be the same as slashdot? A clone that focuses as entirely as possible on tech related news? Or will we branch out to other topics?     I think that we should emphasize the math, science, and engineering sides of things, but I also find YRO (politics focused specifically on civil liberties) to be an important focal point of the community. What I'm not so interested in is the latest MyBook clone or startup. That stuff can stay on YCombinator. I'd rather hear more about the R&D side of things.
