  I just (temporarily) updated the some site vars:

  approved_tags:
     prepended: "pre|"
  
  approvedtags_visible:
     prepended: "pre|"

  Now comes a PRE phrase:

  this is aligned on the LHS of the page.
  
  that was a blank line before this one.
       There are 5 spaces on the LHS of this sentence.
  Word     five spaces later.
  
  
  Two skipped lines and now this sentence.
