Here's what we have new since the last dev deploy:

  • Diacritic marks getting stripped off once they hit utf8_max_diacritics, currently set to five, to prevent uber towers of them.
  • Html-encoded diacritic entities are not yet dealt with.
  • Editors should always get domain tags by links in the preview pane while editing. Users should be able to select it from the comments preferences page.
  • Ugly hackish fix of RSS/Atom triple/double encoding.
  • Added sarc|sarcasm|sub|sup|strike|abbr tags. sarc|sarcasm should both put visible tags around whatever.
  • Sup and Sub tags should not be able to go more than one step up or down.

    some words

    Selected "HTML Formatted"

Pressed "Preview"; several times and watched the text iterate from: no change in appearance, then saw named character entities turned into lt and gt chars, and then saw the text "some words" displayed as superscript text.
