Greetings Soylentils! This is your captain and overlord of editors Dopefish speaking, with an exciting announcement.
I'm pleased to announce that we have two freshly minted editors added to our team here at SoylentNews and their handles are janrinok and girlwhowaspluggedout. They have demonstrated a passion for the site through their submissions and contributions via comments.
With these new additions to our editorial staff, we will keep pushing the site to new heights and help increase the number of quality submissions that post to the main page for all to see and enjoy. Furthermore, janrinok and girlwhowaspluggedout are based out of France and Israel, respectively, which should both improve editor coverage during the hours when the Americas are asleep and, more significantly, help us post news that appeals to international members of our community.
Thank you all for your continued interest in SoylentNews and keep up the good fight! This is Dopefish signing off.

Thanks for your best wishes. I'm sure that both girlwhowaspluggedout and myself will try to live up to your expectations. However, as we have already seen, the occasional mistake will happen and if you can accept that with a touch of humour, we'd appreciate it.

That's not a serious grammatical error. Native English speakers make that kind of mistake frequently.

Thank you.
Your expectations are as high as mine. The desire to finally see some proper editing is the reason I wanted to become an editor, and my goal here is to serve this community by being the best damned editor I can be.
I do, however, apologize ahead of time for any dupes, typos, or editorial foibles I may make.

Four things:
1. Welcome guys!, It's awesome seeing sn's steady growth and I can truly feel that it's much more about the community than on the other site. (I can proudly say that ever since I discovered sn, I've never visited the other site ;)
2. This goes to girlwhowaspluggedout: I'll soon go on a holiday with family to Israel and we'll surely be visiting cultural sites to learn about the country.
Now as a techie I was thinking it'd be interesting to also learn a bit about the secret service of Israel and possibly their involvement in cyberwarfare. Is there any place I could do that?, maybe some kind of museum?
Also, all of us have a Swiss as well as a German passports. For our visit we decided we're all gonna use our Swiss passport. Do you think that makes a difference?
3. To janrinok: Bonjour mon amie :)
4. Is it possible that I can only reply to other posts and not create 'root posts'?
