Question: given what we've learnt about the NSA since the last election, why go to the polls when we know they can choose the winner without bothering us? It used to be just a silly conspiracy theory in the previous elections...

On a slightly different tangent, Brad advises folks to register for an absentee ballot and walk that ballot into the meatspace voting place.
(Mailed-in ballots are the easiest to "lose".)
You're still subject to the vicissitudes of the poll workers and optical scanning equipment, but, in most places in the USA, it's the least-vulnerable way to cast a ballot.

That's how I've voted for decades, if only because I can't remember to mail the durn thing. Hand-delivery does guarantee it at least got into the system, if nothing else.
