    Not to mention that down-under the season is still call "autumn".
    Probably because most of the eucalyptus species aren't deciduous [wikipedia.org], so there's nothing to fall.

    We don't have eucalyptus trees in New Zealand, you insensitive clod!

    We also call it autumn.

    Most of our trees are also evergreen.
