In the ongoing controversy regarding the takeover of this site by the corn muffin, the Bacon Bloc have responded in kind, waging conflict within the fridge. At 13:30 UTC, a settlement was reached, and the site shall be renamed BaconNews. The staff remains under mind control, and could only go "grhhmmmmmm" in response to its new baconmuffin overlords. Effectively immediately, we are now "BaconNews" until a more permanent name can be decided upon by our savory overlords.

I will have to try these. I'm not so sure about the banana ale. I tried a banana bread ale once, and was not too fond of it. It tasted ok, but seemed to give me a headache immediately after drinking it. And no it was not the hangover kind of headache seeing as it was only 1 serving.
I have a friend who gets migraines from anything blueberry. I've wondered if this is similar.

Was really hoping the fake news stories would be omitted from this new medium. It gets old fast... Also was hoping the polls would not have the last choice be complete garbage. Sometimes I like actually knowing the real result of a poll and not whether or not people think the catch all last option is funny.....

So, full disclosure, I'm the author of the current Bacon v. Muffins posts, and there's one more in the hopper set to go out at 23:59 to end the saga. We're running extra stories to offset of 04/01 posts, and having open discussions w.r.t. to the site and our future (there are two more big announcements in the hopper to go out later) and its pretty clear which ones are fake (and the "We Killed IPv4" post is completely true). I realize it annoys a couple of people, but this is the one time of year the staff are allowed to be a little silly, and it acts as a much needed stress relief.
